Percy Young was playing locally for Nursling, while farming at the unfortunately-named Hit or Miss Farm. Capable of playing on either wing, as he demonstrated in his two outings in the Southern Alliance, Percy was struggling to adjust to the demands of professional football when the abandonment of “official” football in 1915 rendered his struggle academic.
