Leaving Arsenal’s academy in 2014, Fela Olomola had offers from West Ham and Newcastle but chose St Mary’s as the place to further his soccer education. He had but one chance to shine unfortunately when he replaced an injured Jay Rodriguez in the 26^th minute of a League Cup-tie at home to Sunderland.

The website described him as “a strong and versatile striker with explosive pace”,

but he was unable to live up to that billing and when his contract expired he joined Scunthorpe on a three-year deal. More recently, following a successful trial, he joined Hartlepool who had just climbed back into League Two. In 2024 he played for Bromley at Wembley in their National League play-off final victory having scored ten league goals for them over the season.
