London born with an Australian father, midfielder Caleb Watts made his first competitive Southampton appearance as a starter in the defeat of Shrewsbury in the FA Cup in January 2021 and then followed that a week later by making his Premier League bow when replacing Danny Ings in a match v Arsenal. Two more appearances followed that season before the following campaign he made a loan move to Crawley which lasted just 18 minutes owing to a hamstring injury. He spent all of 2022-23 on loan at Morecambe but with his contract then expiring he was freed by the club in the close season of 2023.
