Albert Grønbæk’s loan signing, which came in the transfer window of the horrendous 2024-25 season was one that left many fans scratching their heads. He made just two starts in a midfield role and then faded into obscurity as neither Ivan Jurić or Simon Rusk seemed willing to select him. He had earlier in the season been capped by Denmark so he obviously possessed some talent, but none of it was seen at St Mary’s.
