Having made a goal-scoring debut as a center-half, Frank Bromley succeeded his older brother, Ned Bromley, in the attack, as St Mary’s won the Hampshire Junior Cup for a third consecutive season in 1890, followed, in 1891, by both the Senior Cup and the Hants CCC Charity Cup.  As with his brother, Frank’s appearances for the Saints climaxed in a winning Final, whereupon he pursued a career in dentistry, a profession that had long been in the Bromley family. Having qualified from Guy’s in 1893, he became a dental surgeon in the Hendon district of London and started his own practice there in 1898. He took up hockey at the age of 31 and captained Hendon Second XI for 20 years.
