Kamari Doyle was a highly-regarded, two-footed midfield player who decided to leave Saints just as he had broken into first-team contention with a couple of appearances from the bench, one of which came in Saints penultimate game in the Premier League before relegation. The club was keen to keep him but an injury sustained at the beginning of the 2023-24 season added to the frustration and with his contract running down, he decided to join Brighton’s Premier league squad with Saints receiving compensation and a percentage of any future fee.
